Fosterr334 wrote:Thanks that did it but i can not figure out how to make the cube appear.
Also how do i install adobe flash player.

Hello, the easiest way to get the cube working is to download simple-ccsm. This when installed will give you the basic settings for compiz in one place. This program will be installed under SYSTEM/Preferences/simple compizconfig settings manager. Select the desktop tab, change Appearance from Wall to Cube, make sure you have 4 desktop columns. I just did this on a new install of 2.4 gamers edition and pressing down on the middle mouse button enables the cube/cyclinder.

Make sure you have the graphics driver enabled through the SYSTEM/ Peferences/ Apperance first. Select the extra or custom button.

Fosterr334,
Getting Adobe flash player installed is fairly simple, just follow these steps:

The easiest way to install Flash Player for 32-bit systems is via Synaptic Package Manager: click on System>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager and type "flash player" in the search box (see the 1st Screenshot below) and then Right-Click on the package and Left-Click on "Mark for Installation" (2nd screenshot) and then click on Apply and follow the prompts. ;)

FYI: In order to "see" the folder .mozilla in your home directory, you need to enable "Show Hidden Files" - see the 3rd screenshot below.

Also, If you're using the 64-bit version of Ultimate Edfition, you will need to download and manually install the 64-bit version of Flash Player - see this link: http://news.softpedia.com/news/How-to-Install-Adobe-Flash-Player-64-bit-on-Ubuntu-8-10-98076.shtml

As to your headphones, try this: click on Syatem>Preferences>Sound, then click on the Output tab, and select the output to Headphones as shown in Screenshot 4, below... (NOTE: I usually just plug my headphones into my Speaker - it has a Headphone Jack right on the speaker as do many speaker systems, but, of course, not all speakers have this feature...)

And, just for fun, here is a Screenshot of my desktop with Compiz, and the Cube/Sphere ...

k well I have the 64 bit. I went in to .mozilla and created a new folder called "plugins" (without the parenthesis) and i extracted the "libflashplayer.so" into the folder. I restart my computer and do not have any luck. :(
It sounds easy LOL but its not working.
