Compiz sphere and cylnder

I can no longer get the sphere and cylinder in compiz. I can get it in KDE but not gnome. What would be the problem?

Yes. I've done it before. I must have enabled something else that is incompatible

I still can't get this to work in gnome.

If you haven't already done so, try switching between "Compiz" & "Metacity" (and whatever KDE has) Window Manager under the Fusion Icon (if you have that enabled in the top bar)...
