Since the title is share..(Yitzik) I've seen your screencasts and Stanka's Youtube versions and am curious about how you do these? Are you using screen cast capture software? Are you capturing while running linux straight up or in a virtual version under Windows? Just curious, and thought there might be others that would appreciate you guys input :D

Greedy?????No I think more curious! I started doing some research on screen cast software for Linux, and found there isn't much out there( that I saw ) like Camtasia, so was was wondering how it's done in linux ...Forward thinking (dreaming) wouldn't it be great if all our how-to section were converted to screen cast models? Just think how many more could be helped, if they could actually see on the screen what the author is talking about :D

Yes, as Stanca has mentioned before I've used gtk-recordmydesktop with sound record disabled. Cause I have built-in mic and it takes sound from there as well so it comes out not so clear as I want it to be. So the solution for me is to use Avidemux or Cinelerra video editor to add the sound and to edit my video if it's necessary (split, join, trim etc), however you can use youtube audio swap to do that as well which is not so bad option but I do not like to be limited in choices, whatever that means, so can pick any song I desire, cut out parts or join two recordings which is pretty advanced + looks much more pro after all. <BREW>

I use that one too. It is available with most distros. Would have thought you would have come upon it by now, Deate.

I did, but for some reason the app is still picking up the sound from it :( . Pretty sure it's a laptop issue (one of the things on my list to figure out)

Oh, I saw all of those, but was curious as to what the masters were using :D And from all the reviews I read, didn't look like any came close to the features in ,say Camtasia Studio, so was wondering what the best alternatives were...more curiosity than anything else...

Did you know I have written software to get the latest greatest, and to compile it via your computer? I personally have never seen a program that greps cores assigns a value and builds it as 4 cores as per example. If you have it why not flaunt it? Alll programs should be done the same way. My next comp will have 8 cores right? -j8 on build ;)
