Hello to you all PPL.

Here is new way of thinking from me to you.
1- did you have clean the old Kernels +packages like in the script that I post?
viewtopic.php?f=66&t=4420

To me it looks like the old Kernels hold the old packages on your system as Default,
so in this situation the new packages will not work for you.

2- have you install the Ubuntu Tweak NEW package and Enable the 3 party repo for the Effects?
viewtopic.php?f=66&t=4347

3- Did you have run this command After Install CCSM:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager compiz-fusion-plugins-extra compiz-fusion-plugins-main compiz-plugins emerald

4- Look on the new site for the CommonKeyboardShortcuts:
http://wiki.compiz.org/CommonKeyboardShortcuts

Just to make sure the issue is on this post:
5 Keyboard Shortcuts

Here's a list of the most common Compiz Fusion keyboard shortcuts. If they work for you depends on what effects you enabled in the CompizConfig Settings Manager.

SUPER+SHIFT+DRAG LEFT MOUSE = draw fire
SUPER+SHIFT+C = clear fire
CTRL+ALT+DRAG LEFT MOUSE = rotate cube
CTRL+ALT+LEFT ARROW = rotate cube
CTRL+ALT+DOWN ARROW = flat desktop
SHIFT+ALT+UP = initiate window picker
CTRL+ALT+DOWN = unfold cube
ALT+TAB = window switch
SUPER+TAB = flip switcher or ring switcher, depending on which is enabled.
ALT+F7 = initiate 'move windows'
SHIFT+F9 = water effect
SHIFT+F10 = slow animations
CTRL+ALT+D = show desktop

For Grouping and Tabbing:
SUPER+S = select single window
SUPER+T = tab group
SUPER+Left = change left tab
SUPER+Right = change right tab
SUPER+G = group windows
SUPER+U = ungroup windows
SUPER+R = remove group window
SUPER+C = close group
SUPER+X = ignore group
Hold the SUPER button then select the windows you want to group and then hit SUPER+G.

Hey yitzikv,

I was wondering if you, (or anyone else) have ever heard of a Compiz plugin called Stackswitch? I have seen a video of it:

http://fusioncast.blogspot.com/2008/06/ ... witch.html

But I can't find how to install it. Also maybe a quick howto on installing from git would be nice. (I'm just being lazy here :D )

Love the vids

Well how about that. That's why I love this this place. There is always something new (to me, at least) to fool around with. If it weren't for you guys I might actually have to work. :( I run 64bit so I will check out TheeMan's .deb shortly. He gets around don't he? Thanks all
