omg ... thats also not worked
i install compaq c45 and c50 without connect ..
but when i install into compaq presario cq45 ...
bravo ... working properly ... so, i think have something wrong if run on acer aspire 4530 :D

any idea .. :D .. it's ok .. now i'm come back to using 1.8 32bit ... running properly .. without hang again ...

This first thread is not an answer to your problem, but a view of the troubles I have had with an Acer... viewtopic.php?f=33&t=491&start=0
This second thread also will show you you are not the only one having the problem...but it does finally have an answer to a problem similiar to yours, a little reading...but in the end ..."more Knowledge" viewtopic.php?f=21&t=954 ;)

hmmm i know that .... btw thanks ... driver lan or wireless atheros actually not a big problem for me ... i just confused why when i install another laptop ... compaq presario cq45/cq50 ... thats lan and wireless working properly and than i install that without plugin my lan cable from modem like they said b4 .... hmmm

i like this community because usefull and helpfull ... i will try to find out and than after i get it, i will post here .. thank you very much :D <BREW> :D

good news .... i re-installed my ubuntu already ... actually thats not os problems .. after i reconfigure my modem into dhcp and also dns .... my Ultimate Edition 2.0 32bit .. in acer 4530 working properly ... :D

and may i know if i wanna use my ubuntu be a internet gateway (router), where can i get completed tutorial ? thx .. ( actulally i ask my uncle google already .. but .. i stil not yet get usefull tutorial, maybe somebody know where is it ?)
