(Solved)Fan runs all the time

My fan runs all the time, full speed. I googled it and seems like this is a known problem for the hp pavillion dv7 series notebooks. everything I read states it has to do with the graphics card and not using the proprietary graphics drivers. I seem to be having a hard time locating the AMD catalyst linux drivers for my system. Can anyone help out? It's a HP Pavillion DV7-1135NR note book with a Radeon HD 3200 Graphics card!

Thanks I'll give these a try. I don't know why I couldn't find them myself, is there a special way to find Linux drivers on AMD's website?

nope, just go to drivers page(www.amd.com/drivers) and fill in the parameters...the usual stuff..radeon series, arch type(32 or 64) etc..

It is very thorough and may look exausting, but it covers everything. ;) And once you get the hang of installing, it will take minutes to complete...
