Mainstream laptop alternatives

Postby ixnod » Sat Mar 28, 2009 5:11 pm

If you are looking for an alternative to your mainstream laptop providers, below are two sites I have come across that provide a very viable alternative to "Big Box " brands like HP Dell and even Apple.

Granted, that the above mentioned manufacturers have some very nice setups. unfortunately of you want it highlty configured, upgradable or simply personalised then these two places, appear to give you the most bang for your buck.

you can customize till your heart explodes or your eyes cross whichever comes first. and yes it is a bit more expensive, but not as expensive as say Apple IMHO. nor are you as constrained as say HP or Toshiba.

Eurocom, I would assume that this is based in Europe. but anyhoo, they can give you quotes in multiple denominations. check them out great for an alternative to a wide variety of notebook options.

I came across an actual Killer notebook once. this notebook was noticeably heavy, and thick. Their claim to fame is Gaming. if you want a portable lanparty capable laptop, then this would probably be your best route. So by all means, please (if you are in the market) check out these two sites and compare away.

the best feature that I would like to add about these two vendors, is that you are not constrained to having a Windows system, albeit they do not offer an Ubuntu system either. But hey, the OS is free!! <BREW>
