I still can't install it, i'm now stuck in the loading menu where ultimate edition is loading(background is black with a map on it)please help, i have no sleep at all.

Ultimate Edition 1.9 took a long time to completely load the live DVD on my system.
It took so long that I thought maybe it had stalled.
How long did you wait before you decided it had stalled?

Your Nvidia fx5500 should be fine.
On the other box, your Nvidia 8800GTS should also be fine but you might have problems with your Ati HD2900.
AND trying to run both of them at the same time will most likely give you problems as well.
Try running just the Nvidia 8800 and see if it gives you the same issues.

What monitor are you using?
some of the newer monitors can give you issues.

Something else that has caused install problems with a few users is not using an 80 conductor IDE cable.

Is your DVD drive IDE or Sata?

so you mean sir the booting would take it so long?? it takes about 10mins and nothing happens, the HDD led stops and the DVD led stops also, but when i'm pressing num lock, the led on my keyboard turns on and off(means it is not hanging)but i'm stuck in there. what do you think sir??

You must really be sleepy... you slipped back into the Sir Mode

I presume you are still trying to install on the test-box.
this is what I would do:
1)Boot up with the Ultimate Edition DVD
2) select Safe graphics mode
3) answer the questions on language & keyboard
4) when all the questions are answered and it's loading the live DVD session
Walk away and do something else for 20 or 30 minutes.
If it still hasn't loaded in that time look in Nerwbie's Corner under Laptop installs
Yes it was aimed at trouble shooting laptop installs but will work quit well on a desktop as well.

if all else fails:
To be able to read the errors when loading...
At initial boot screen
Hit F6
Change quiet splash to nosplash

This will give you an idea of what errors are occurring while it tries to load.
Write these errors down and post them back here if it refuses to completely load

Ps: you didn't answer any of my other questions.
These answers might help us help you.

The last time I had a fd0 error, The cable on my floppy was hooked up backwards.
My last install, I just didn't put a floppy drive in, but I also disabled it in the bios.
Try disabling it in the bios, and see if it will now load correctly.
You can always enable it again after it has fully installed. (if you still need it)

Edited:
I found this on the Ubuntu forums when I google your error.
Re: PLEASE help
Thanku all for the replies... but i solved the problem..

ITS NOT MY DISK DRIVE...
It was in my bios settings...
I have a 945 motherboard(mentioned earlier) and a PCI E graphics card..
Will just tell u wat i did (for ppl who are interested )
I changed one tiny setting
In my bios setttings, i went to "advanced->chipset configurations->pci express configurations"
Here, i changed the "Compliance Test *" to <Disable>
(the * indicates a Word i cant remember)

I dont know how this setting got changed, since when i "loaded" defaults, this setting was set to <Disable>
Probably this lil tweak wil work for every1 having a PCI Express graphics card...
I request mods to take notice and post this suggestion somewhere where it'll be more useful.. Thanx to every1 who replied.. thanku

You might look in you bios and see if you have this setting

I edited my above post to include a possible fix in the bios.
Have you tried that?
