Uninstalling Evolution

Help & support for Ultimate Edition 1.8

Uninstalling Evolution

Postby jfg69 » Tue May 06, 2008 12:49 pm

I have succesfully uninstalled MOST of this app. When I go to uninstall the remaining evolution-data-server-common it lists the gnome-desktop as one of the things it wants to uninstall.

Any way of getting rid of this last piece of this thing? It keeps telling me there is an update for it available, lol..
I'm off looking on other forums, but I dont yet know how much of this involves strictly Ultimate Edition.

If its bugg'n you, you can go into Synaptic and highlight it and then click "lock version" from one of the "package" menu.

I was just looking at my 1.7x64 (the one I'm still using as my daily OS till I get the 1.8 situated) and when I removed evo from this one, it let me remove all but the evolution-webcal. In 1.8 I was able to remove that.
