Yesterday it was tonight, today its tomorrow morning. Can we get a confirmation so that I can focus on my finals and quit checking every couple hours?
Not complaining by any means. Just anxious.
I switched from vista about six months ago. Started with Ultimate 1.6, went to Kubuntu, to Mandriva (blah), put Hardy on a little while ago and then went back to Ultimate 1.7 because Hardy Beta was having problems with the built in Intel sound in my old XPS 400.
I was thinking about trying SUSE because I extensively use Excel in my studies and heard there Novell Open Office is starting to support some Excel VBA Macros but I've read some reports that Novell has a pact with the Devil Bill and is doing damage to the open source community. I don't know enough to know how much of that is true but it convinced me to be satisfied with Excel under Virtualbox on a light ver of XP.
What I've learned so far? Keep it simple. Newbs should stay away from any massive modifications like 4 wallpapers on a cube with icons. Ultimate has been the most hassle free for a Newb, comes with all the extras you'll be looking for if you install something else and has this smaller forum (than reg Ub) that seems to have answers faster than anywhere else (when asked).
Thanks for all the hard work.
