have got my new ultimate 1.8 working great!all things i do seem fine and set up switched my mail to g-mail(was using hotmail in microsoft but wth.lol no biggy,jest took some time and a load of e-mail addy change e-mails sent out!!!sound is great ect.ect.i do have a question though.

question-have used the package manager to install wine and the wine dev am trying to run party poker,set-up went fine but it doesnt go beyond the sign in page.i press sign in and it doesnt seem to make connection to party poker runs continually.(right clicked the pp setup and opened with wine app.)
this is all im presently having problems with am a party poker freak for the past 8 years and would really like to continue to lose money(both play and real on this site)lol
any help would greatly be appreciated and please do a step by step fix for me as im absolutely new to this.installed ultimate .8 and it is presently my only op system i need a fix!!!thanks for your help it is so appreciated!!!!!!

thanks very much for the welcome and the great info nick.was really wishing to play party poker as i have both a real and play money account with them.i will try to use the info you gave me,and hope that i get it figured out.from this info i see that 64 bit isnt the way to go with wine and party poker.thanks again for everything!!!

tried the things suggested here to the best of my ability.changed poker servers to ultimate bet in wine get to sign in either at table or before entering tables and get a message that i cant be logged in that presently someone is using this id!! any suggestions?

when i try through firefox browser and the java applet it runs forever and never takes me to the tables or site.sorry for so many problems but am really not great on computers either in windows or linux 60 years old and a might forgetful lol welcome to the golden years!!! thanks for all help and i am so determined to get this operating!!

the poker site i downloaded in wine isnt ultimate bet it is absolute poker!!! god what a forgetful ole fart i am,guess its the hours spent trying to get things working correctly!!by the way downloaded and installed 1.9 must say another gem!! thanks to the developers and mods that are trying so hard to teach a old dog new tricks!!! lol
