Masters of Orion Killed Me!

Hi Guys I'm back and I wish I had more noble reasons ...but no, I'm begging for help again. After spending all my free time in the past month Battling for Wesnoth, I decided to try Mastering Orion. I didn't make it.

I installed Masters of Orion 2 v1.2 through wine. I agreed to the installation of DirectX 2.0 Drivers, ran the program and ... my world blew up.

Screen Resolution is locked at 640x480 with no options for change. I am now looking at everything through a magnifying glass.

I tried uninstalling, rebooting, Hardware Test (failed the video section), reinstalling ubuntu restricted extras(where I think I first got my video drivers from) that failed and when I tried to update, the terminal spat out a lot of errors and failed connections:

Here's what I found in the source error:

Source error

seems to be on their end..you may want to check their support forum (if there is one) and report that or see if they've changed their repo...OR...I don't see the entire repo links (EX: http://jp.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dis...Sources.gz) don't see what the '...' is supposed to be:

Repos

take a screenshot of the repos as listed in Synaptics/Settings/Repos...click on one of their repos..then edit then another screenshot so I can see the format it was added...OR...copy & paste the "jp" repo's from your /etc/apt/source.list .

WOW! OK, so perhaps this is just my newbness showing through but I can't imagine how installing and old Windows game or DX2 would screw up my source connections. So if you're right and the problem is on their end, then it's a separate issue from my screen resolution problem and it just happened to show up at the same time...hmmm....so I'm looking at 2 problems now:

1) How to reset my screen resolution
2) How to update my source list
