Well, I'm not sure on what to tell you about that... I have never used tvtime to watch tv. I would only suggest trying to use MythTV or another program. I am not up for re-installing Myth right now, so your on your own. Here is a link to get you started:

When I get some time, I will rip my 150 out of my p4 and throw it in an old box and get the damn thing working with Mybuntu without a problem. Then I'll post back with the easiest way to do it. I got Mythbuntu up and running without TV with no problems. I'm not crazy about it, but I got it working. I'm old school when it comes to Multimedia. I use Media Player Classic(Widows-Klite mega codec pack) to play movies and music and Karafun to play Karaoke. I don't really care about setting up playlists. You can use Winamp if you want a big flashy interface. It will play all audio and video now.Karaoke as well with the cdg plugin. K player will play TV quite well.
I tried Media Portal for Windows as well as others(both Linux and Wndows) and they all are dreadful in my opinion.
A friend of mine got a 42" LCD TV with vga and I have set him up with his pc connected directly to the TV.
When he wants to watch TV you just hit one button on the TV remote. Use your TV card to record TV only. You can always record the raw data and compress it to whatever(If you have a big enough harddrive.
Just a thought, pch

You have splitters in your system to split off from your cable box over to your capture card? How many? You have one outside your home also? This has plagued me before, that is why I bring it up. I had the cable guy come by and he totally dialed me in with new cable connectors and splitters (the right ohm resistance!!!!) and I was golden again. <BREW> <BREW>
