No, my installing SELinux did not _fix_ the problem, just exacerbated (made it worse) the problem! Now I cannot boot into Ultimate Edition....it reported "cannot find init' about a thousand gillion times before I did a 3 finger salute to that display (I waited a bit to be sure that that was all it was going to do).
Now my question is: (re)install or update from the Live CD? Probably install (clean) is what I'll choose.
I have Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mandriva 2008 AND Ultimate Edition 1.8 installed on a 300 Gb hdd (the 2 linux are on logical partitions, as is Windows Vista). I can no longer access Windows Vista partition, as I guess the new Grub install messed something up(?) and I'll have to _try_ to fix this, somehow......
Thanks...I'll keep ya'll posted,

To fix the Vista boot-loader, you need a normal Vista disk, pop it in, and boot it up, it has the option to restore the Vista boot-loader (I had to do this on my laptop, when I destroyed my vista boot-loader), and no, I don't mean the Restore disks that vista lets you make, you HAVE to use a retail disk/a copy of a retail disk in order to run the boot-loader repair option....lol, because Mr. Softie is a pain in the neck >_>, and if you do not Have a retail vista disk, then to fix that problem easily, you either have to buy one, or download one (though, mind you, downloading one is technically illegal >_<).
