You can bring me over a <BREW> or 3 ;)

I really appreciate the kind words brother, finetuch, I would like to add a few words about you... A terrific fella that has helped me multiple times in the past as well, even though he may seem to be humble in his speaking on his one behalf is quite smart when it comes to computers, I have seen him build multiple PC's, sure he may not currently be a *nix guru, but have the utmost confidence that one day he will be, his ability to learn is virtually unmatched.

Thanks again,

This made me laugh.... I think you mean like sympathy or empathy.... ( I just love malapropisms: like when my wife told my therapist that I was an "intellectual slob" instead of "intellectual snob" as she intended.)

lol, I did not catch that at the time ;)

Apathy is a common feeling of complete discontent (dissatisfaction, i.e. not satisfied) for one's emotional behavior.

Is it safe to conclude that the Update icon on the desktop is redundant? In other words, since I have my system to check for updates daily do I need this icon or can I delete it?
BTW, I am thrilled with Ultimate 1.8. For reasons unknown to me it runs faster and is more responsive than Ubuntu 8.04. Any ideas why?

I am fixing to replace it "all" 100% across the board, I will update that "script" and all goes away & I do not care what version of Ultimate Edition u run. I will take care of u as well as others. I promise people will flock here to get it. I will not release it until it is "good to go". It is coming. As far as speed it is hotrod...

I have just installed the Ultimate Edition 1.8 32 bit and was looking forward to using it but found that all the windows were missing the title bar. The Window also loaded at the top left hand side of the screen under the screen top bar. Because of this you were unable to move the windows around unless you toggled Alt. Any ideas?

There are other post on here about this issue but what usually fixes it up is a windows decorator setting in compiz. Using the fusion icon there are settings for windows decorator and that should fix the minimize maximize close deals up top of the windows, The other thing you can try is to look in settings for PUT I belive its called I will add a screen shot of what i'm referring to. I just took a shot and its called place i believe this is the one that for lack of better words remembers where you place windows after having to use ALT and PLACE them somewhere you like.
