Key remap

Postby Lynx » Sat Sep 28, 2013 9:35 pm

I swear I did a Search for this first.

I want to remap PgUp to PgBk. Thing is, on Thinkpad laptops there are handy page back/page forward buttons, and I have become accustomed to them to the extent that when I am not on a Thinkpad I get really aggravated when I have to mouse to the "Go back one page" button at the top left of my browser. It's so easy to just hit a button.

So, since I really hate being locked down to a certain computer, I want to know how to remap the Page Up (or any other random button) to fulfill the Page Back function. I already know about xev and xmodmap, I tried it, it worked, but it didn't persist through a reboot. I tried the way I found online to make it persistent, but alas, it didn't work.

So... how does one remap a key in Ultimate Edition 3.4 lite?

Thank you. How do I add Page Back as a command? What does the system recognize as "Page back"?

For the record, Page Back is keycode 166. How do I put that in as a shortcut? I can type anything in the "Command" bar, but what will be recognized as a valid command?
