3.5.1 installation problem

A quick little update ... fixed the grub via the livecd and was able to boot into UUE3.5.1

Yes, going well! I had to do an install without internet and choose the first install method and not manual. So 3.5.1 redid my ubuntu drive for me. I really did not want to do that but I was having an issue even with doing a manual installation at first. I'm going to 'redo' the partitions, reinstall the os, fix the grub, and then enjoy the Ultimate Edition!! I have not used any editon of ubuntu since UUE2.8 came out. So, I'm kind of 'behind' the times so to speak. Is there an extensive read on what's new since 2.8?

when I tried to install 3.5.1, I get an installation failure. The files will copy, but when the installation process runs to 30% with the language being installed, I get an error and the installation stops.

The solution was to 'not' have the computer connected to the internet during the install. After installation, in which I used the 'entire' hdd, I thought that I could just use gparted and redo the drive and redo the installation. It failed again. So, I'm going to wait until 3.6 comes out. Hopefully, the installation issues will be resolved by then. Please do not think that the Ultimate Edition is no good. I think what Theemann has done and all those who contributed to creating the ultimate edition have done a great job. Stuff happens. I'll have to wait until 3.6 comes out. Hopefully, the issue with the installation of the language pack is corrected. Not too sure as to 'why' it happens. As stated previously 3.4 and 3.5 do install well with the computer connected to the internet, but 3.5.1 does not have a complete installation. DVD and checksum all have checked out.

nvidia GeForce 9600 GT XFX crashes after install on boot up sorry about not given the right card can any one help with this im now using 2.6 it works fine !!!! 3.4 3.5.1 crashes !!!!

Same here crashes at 30%. I tried with and without connected to the internet. Live CD works no problem.. Replaced my HD that 3.5.1 was on, now can't install at all..

Question, If I want to redownload again but to a usb, how is that accomplished? Do I burn it to the usb if that is possible. Or do you just download it and install.. Were do I get a copy of 3.5.1 again, I only see 3.5 or was 3.5 replaced with the newest version?

Use unetbootin to make a bootable flash image of Ultimate Edition 3.5.1 on a flash disk.
The software is already present in 3.5(if you are using it)
