Ok, on my 3.4 lite 64 bit there is an app built in for radio. The icon is right next to the wifi icon on the left. How do I get it working? Thanks

Right click gives me configure radio, configure plugins, quit. Left click will say at top to turn on radio and says which station. If I turn it on the icon stops responding for about a minute and never turns on.

I don't mean to sound negative, but I have never gotten the radio applet to work. EVER.

Tested on 2 3.4 lites it works but it is kind of..idk..difficult for no reason. Much easier to just collect some .pls

http://www.internet-radio.com/

and then run on whatever player.

When I am super low-spec I like to use alsaplayer, but I use VLC on pups, and Ultimate Player on Ultimate Edition, or Clementine etc...

I listen to some obscure stuff though, so to play radio you left click on radiotray, and left click on the station. It may take a second to start up, it may also lock up, so

killall radiotray

radiotray

Install on Diamond running KDE

sudo apt-get install radiotray

yielded slightly different controls, right click on Radiotray, Left click on station.

Adding Stations was annoying..but

So it is easier I think to get .pls still, but adding them to the radiotray you need the URL

Open the .pls with an Editor and you should see something along the lines of File1=http://blah.blah.blah

Copy the http and add that to

Preferences-->Configure Radio-->Add
