Sound on Record My Desktop??

Postby Tool » Fri Jul 19, 2013 7:45 pm

How do I get the app Record My Desktop to capture sound too? I have onboard audio as well as a web cam w/mic. I go to sound options, but I don't understand some of it and the part where where it says available ports is empty. Thanks. :D

Edit. Sorry, I'm on 3.4 lite 64 bit. Forgot that bit

Open a Terminal

Code: Select all
alsamixer

Open preferences. Check Capture.

I think I'm getting a different version. My alsamixer that pops up is like a bios, simple non graphical interface with keyboard only controls

So if we are on Mate, you can go to
System-->Preferences-->Volume Control-->Preferences and click on capture to check it, a recording option will pop up and you can navigate that menu or

Open Alsamixer through Terminal, Press F4, navigate to capture with your left right arrow keys and control the amount with the up/down arrow keys.

If you hadn't inadvertantly informed me that there was a working PSP emu, I might not be spending all my time playing Disgaea 2, and would know how to use a Terminal!!
