I was wondering if there is an app available that will test the health of an external 2.5" SATA HDD that is connected via USB? I did a web search, but am only seeing Windows programs. Disk Utility doesn't seem to be able to do that since it doesn't have the smart capabilities cause of the connection. Thanks guys. Oh, by the way I am using an external HDD case that supports USB 2.0 and obviously it's a laptop drive, but am using it as a storage on my PC and needed a way to verify it's health and integrity before I trust it to hold all my files.
