i restarted my laptop with 3.5.1 in and it took a very long time until i got a message saying it can not find the file system on the media,i checked the size of the iso and it is exactly the right size,any ideas on how i can install 3.5.1 please?

Did you check the MD5 sum? I had 2 failed downloads when I did this yesterday.

Find the iso and open it with K3B--

i am using k3b to burn the image again and i will try to reinstall again,i will post what happened soon.

These numbers need to match. Imperative. As in, your system will be impaired if you do not have matching sums.

Personally I think discs are a waste of time. The easiest way, the quickest way, the cheapest way, the infinitely more useful way...

Is to use StartUp Disc Creator and a USB or SD if you have a card reader.

Notice I did not say Unetbootin.

Now if it is not an Ubuntu distribution, then you should use Unetbootin, but if you are using Ubuntu, Unetbootin is a big ol' waste of time.

but as i say when i reboot it just sits there with the screen showing 3.5
i am just about to try again.
