Partitioning
So the problem here, is that you already have this set up I imagine through the installer, as it would set you up. Like..not manual.
You can split up your partition in a variety of ways but I generally stick to primaries which you have a max of 4. So to share a home between 2 OS I would set up basically
Swap-1GB(This can be raised..I just..never see swap go over a GB)
Root-20 GB
Root-20 GB
Home-Rest of Drive
The First OS install would be manually pointed to..OS-->Root, and then create the home on that install.
I'm sure there is a way to do what you are asking but I am not quite sure what the best way to do that would be.
On the second you do the same thing..except YOU DO NOT FORMAT HOME
In this manner you would have Home, and when opened you would see 2 folders, one for each system and its configurations.
