Right so this program must be launched VIA terminal. So if it is in Downloads:
Code: Select all
cd ~/Downlaods

Code: Select all
chmod +x DreamUP_Linux_1_3_beta

Code: Select all
./DreamUP_Linux_1_3_beta

Hopefully you have all the dependencies installed.

Oh and this will help:

Gahhh, I'm trying to find an easier version, I know this can be done through XBMC, which would be infinitely more simple.

Never boring. This is the kind of stuff I do all the time. :)
I to am having library issues. It seems that Dreamup does not look in conventional locations for the headers.
Okay, try this instead:
Code: Select all
wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/universe/g/gdk-pixbuf/libgdk-pixbuf2_0.22.0-14_i386.deb

Code: Select all
wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/universe/g/glib2.0/libglib2.0-data_2.16.6-0ubuntu1.2_all.deb

Code: Select all
wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/main/libc/libcanberra/libcanberra-gtk-module_0.30-0ubuntu2_i386.deb

Notice, you could always go to the top directory and download from the browser:
http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/u ... dk-pixbuf/
http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/u ... g/glib2.0/
http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/m ... bcanberra/

Yes, XBMC could be easier. But if you don't want XBMC installed... Your Choice.
For that you could look at:

It's already installed.. Ultimate Edition 3.5.

If the 3.5 being used in this is not 32 bit, won't there be issues with that i386 deb?
