Wow wish they aloud me to break my pc , i been an A+ plus for 17 yrs and love trying all kind of linux and see what work or don't been with Linux way back with Red linux5 ,i got 2 pc for that 1- I7 -2600kat 4.4 -Asrock extreme4- Radeon Hd 6770 -2ssd (samsong128g 830 with Ultimate Edition = Crucial 4 m 128gwith Linux regal Titan)1T for Back-up with Window7 -1free agent go flex500g,

2 =Amd 6000+ dual core 3.0 with GeForce Gt520
ECs= 1- 250 g - 1 -160 g
window 8- ultimate Edition 3.4 -linux Regal titan

I'm blown away with the way things have gone for me getting onto the testing side of things.
I feel for you guys that would love to be here too.
I still don't know what I have let myself get into. I can only hope I can prove myself worthy of the kind thought that Thee had.

Just for some clarity for all who read this thread.
dougal has been part of the development team for quite some time - without being 'staff' as such.
He's been active behind the scenes both here and at Oz.
The term 'quiet achiever' comes to mind.
He is deserving of the promotion and no, it wasn't quick.
For me, it took about 3-4 years of having my butt handed to me on a plate by Thee before I got the nod. Others did it quicker.
Let's not sour his moment.

The idea never entered my head. I'm sure nobody minds waiting for the release date, waiting a further week or three for sourceforge to deliver a complete download, and then reprogramming resetting upgrading and generally sweating over our machines to get 3.5 installed. I couldn't get 3.2 3.3 & 3.4 installed until early august this year only about a year or so later than some.
