NVIDIA never gave me any issues. Their drivers are definately more stable and they release updates for games with a quickness. Radeon Catalyst software is quite buggy, but when it all comes down to it, they are about equal. ( saying one or the other sux is redic) Most of the problems i believe to be with the methods of getting and installing the drivers. Then again i do not use the hardware drivers software or whatever that is, to install the driver. I always goto nvidia, download the whateveryourcardis.run and place it in /opt and killx, then sh the .run. It never mattered the distro and has always worked for me. Good instructions are NVIDIA the Hard Way.

I have not ever had a single problem with NVIDIA drivers in linux that wasn't my fault. The only real issues I have had with 3.4 is compiz issues when going to another DE, and applets crashing in Gnome Classic. NOt just an occassional crash, I would get about 5 applet crashes an hour lol, but that could be caused by many things and it never really halted any production from the OS.
