Welcome to Global moderator, you came highly recommended, by both JohnnyG as well as Blackwolf. JohnnyG and I spoke on the phone yesterday, he says you are persistent in resolving the end users problem, thanks. I am sorry I have not had the chance to "chew the fat" with you, but I am typically very busy, as I am sure you will soon find out.
Let's break down where we are... Ultimate Edition 2.9 X64 is uploaded (released to admin / mods), everyone I have spoke to has said thus far is w/o issue. I have a 32 bit edition built, but is not w/o issue. I have not even bothered to upload it yet, because of this. I do not want to point fingers and say who's fault it is, but the situation will be rectified. If necessary I will start over from the ground up. I would love to say I will be uploading it this eve, but reality begins to point to this weekend at best. At least 24 hrs for admin, mods and beta testers to attempt to break it and a release.
I have alot of time sunk in Ultimate Edition 2.9, running it and funny I hate it. I have said this in the past I am not a KDE man. I am betting when I am done I drop Ultimate Edition 2.6.1 on here and roll with it until Ultimate Edition 3.0. 2.6.1 is absolutely bulletproof on my PC & has everything I need. Ultimate Edition 2.6.1 may not be cutting edge, but is w/o issue.
I have a new toy I bought today, it will replace my primary graphics (was running a ATI X1650 / Nvidia 8400 gs - hybrid tripple sli board). I can not use it right now until I get a dual 4 pin modex to 6 pin vga adapter. Most "Showstopers" of Ultimate Edition are Nvidia graphics. ATI is pretty fairly well supported in *Nix, I get compiz running live with current ATI card. Intel releases their drivers open source so they are not an issue. I bought a PNY Nvidia 9800GT 1GB DDR3 from a buddy of mine for $50 still in box, was hard to turn down and a weak point or bottleneck in my system.
I am hopeful once I finish the
repomaster that I can be on the forum to help resolve NVidia issues as well other issues.
