I am in 1.7 right now and when I tried to install had no problem except it wanted to change my PHP configuration..I am using Bit torrent or Bittornado for my torrent file download..at least I was 2Hrs ago..lol. So decided "nope"..
You might want to click Edit in Synaptic and click fix broken packages..then in terminal

Code: Select all: sudo apt-get autoremove

see if that helps, maybe another Mod/Admin or another mem. can offer more help
