1.5 vs gamers

This is my first post, and I'll say it right now, I'm very new to Linux systems with GUI's. I created a very basic Linux shell last year, but considering the people who will likely be reading this post, I realize that's not a big accomplishment lol. This is probably a stupid question, but it's one I genuinely don't know the answer to. What are the major differences between Ultimate 1.5 and Ultimate gamers?

Heres the Ultimate Edition 1.5 description : http://ubuntusoftware.info/Ubuntu_Ultimate_1.5/
Here is 1.4 Gamers: http://ubuntusoftware.info/Ubuntu_Ultimate_1.4_Gamers/
"This release was built based off Ultimate 1.4 DVD. There will be no 64 bit edition. This is Ultimate 1.4 DVD with KDE, Enlightenment, XFCE, and Windowmaker to name a few added and user selectable from the login window (7 in all). This is the last in the series of Feisty Fawn based. This is basically Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu and others combinded, along with additional software integraded; This is the Ultimate Edition 1.3 of Edgy based distro only Feisty Fawn; respectivly speaking." - taken from Ultimate Edition web-page. ;)

thanks. I was kinda hoping that you might tell me what aspects of one might be better than another, or something you might have found from your own experiences that might not be on the page. Sorry if it sounds like I'm being lazy! lol

Basicaly, it is to your own prefferance, to an extent. Do you want to explore more of the advanced user applications of different GUI's or do you want to play games? As far as 1.5 over 1.4 I would have to say that, it is a matter of getting the lastest packages installed without the need to manually install them later if you have interest or a need for them. 1.4 is cowboys' favorite and I'm sure that it has something to do with his current setup, and it just working more smoothly for him. Try 'em all, and give us your oppinion, they're free :P Thats just one part that makes Ultimate Edition beautiful! :P

I suggest a review of a new F.A.Q. wrote a minute or 2 ago.

Haha I didn't mean to stir the pot too much! Thanks for the faq, it definitely helps. I've done some C programming before but I'll be honest, looking at the source code did leave me scratching my head a bit. Still, I want to learn more about Linux programming so that soon I can be a contributor. I have a lot to learn though, I don't even know what KDE means yet  . You guys have been very helpful. I can't wait to try out more and more of different variations of Ubuntu! Do you know of any good resources for learning this type of programming? I'm really anxious to start tinkering with it! :P

probobally the biggest differences are that 1.5 drops most of the games (still installable through the script though) adds kde, xfce, enlightment, window maker. also runs alot smoother imo than 1.4 and 1.4 gamers did. i also think the theme is slightly different but not by much.
