Ultimate Edition 3.0 Themes / Changing pointers [SOLVED]

This not not crucially important, but I sure would like to acquire the resolve, if possible . . .

I cannot change the default theme's pointer. I've gone into Xcursor Selector numerous times, and now by even just launching that program (Xcursor Selector) the two eyes start right off swirling clockwise w/o me even doing anything else, but I cannot get the pointer changed, whether I push the [+Install Theme] or [Go To Theme Folder] buttons.

I've tried to reload Xcursor Selector and the Themes. It looks like things are happening, but the end result is ...nothing! I retain the same pointer and, probably the same theme. This is not the 'end of the world by any stretch.' It just seems to me it should work ...and maybe it does but I might be approaching it incorrectly?!

Does anybody have a resolve?

Thank you so much in advance!

Are you right-clicking on your screen, selecting "change background", then selecting "customize", then "pointer"?

The guy in the video gets to a point where he says 'the first folder you come to is default.' I haven't the foggiest what he is talking about?! The video, from what I see anyway, does not show most of his physical moves through the file system. He knows what he is doing but I am having great difficulty discerning what and where he is at!?

I can get up to my selection of cursors: "Ultimate Edition Gold Cursor," and that is basically where he loses me. I don't know if I'm supposed to right-click on the 'cursors folder' and copy it ...or what??? Then, he breezes through stuff that I can't follow him with.

Can you, N92, "translate" the rest for me? Because that is where I am stuck! :(

Thanks in advance for any further direction or correction!

Hi onosendai58!

Yup! I did all of that and I wind-up at a "Select Theme" window and that is where nothing productive happens.

Any ideas or directions?

Thanks in advance!

I got it! I got it! I got it!

The video did it ...but, I had to access it (U-tube video) on the web, where I could see what he was actually doing! Dumb, hugh!? Yeah, I'm often dumb about this stuff - but, I'm learning!!! ;)

(...I can remember back when I started-out in DOS - same thing! I had to progress through the learning curves.)

Anyway, it worked! I've now got the pointer that I wanted!

Thanks, everyone! This 'puppy' is SOLVED! :D
