Postby LinuxPusher » Sun Dec 18, 2011 5:51 pm

Hi all,

I posted back up help instructions.
How do I remove active Links?? Help Please.
I tried to edit them out many times by retyping them but they keep going active on me.
I tried to edit them out with libre office writer no luck.

I cannot load them to my Photo Bucket space probably due to live links.

Help Please.

Hi LinuxPusher,
How do I remove active Links?? Help Please.

Please correct me if I am wrong - am assuming you're wanting to make a post showing a website address and whenever you type it in, it becomes 'active' ie, you can click on it and it directs you to the page?

There is normally no issue in doing this on the proviso it is a link which is relevant to your post. If it is a link designed to sell products (spam) - then this is a no no and will be removed. If you don't want the link to be active, you can enclose the address within a quote by highlighting it and using the [Quote] button.

Is this what you were asking or have I misread your post?

Cheers.
