Re: Ultimate Edition 3.0 installation

Thanks to each of you for the plethora of comments and suggestions. I'm kind of new to Linux - been using Mint 10 for about a year - but don't get very deep into the terminal side of things like I have with Windows. I just didn't want to get myself in a mess by deleting a good system in the process of installing a better one. As for Windows, I have grown to truly loathe it since switching to Mint; the only reason I keep it at all is that I still run in to software occasionally that doesn't have Linux compatibility.
As for Ultimate Edition, I've just been running from a Live CD or USB and it looks great! I just have to guard against my own noobiness when installing something new. Thanks for all your help; I'll probably need to get back with you on some other issue later but for now, I think I can do this! By the way, is there a 64 bit version of 3.0 out yet? Should I wait for 3.1 to be dropped or can I upgrade 3.0 later?
