32 bit or 64 bit ?

hello i am currently downloading Ultimate Edition 3.0 to my Acer Aspire 5536 laptop and the download is a 32 bit version,can some one please tell me if it is better to have the 32 bit version or the 64 bit version,i only use my laptop for the internet and checking my e-mails ?

The main difference, and I am sure smarter people than me will correct me, is that the 64 bit is more efficient with multiple core processors and if you have more than 2 GB of RAM installed. The 32 bit will run on 64 bit machines, I am installing it on my home machine since I have only 2GB of RAM

It depends on what cpu you have. Does it support 64 bit? If so, go with that. It's faster.

thank you both my laptop does support 64 bit as i was running u/e 2.9 64 bit,i will use 32 bit 3.0 until the 64 bit comes out and then i will change over.
