GSTYLE.. (need help)

hi.. im a newbie to ultimate edition 2.9.. im really a fan of a software in ubuntu called gstyle.. why is it that after i install it in ultimate edition, it installed successfully but after i launched it, no windows will come out. i thought it just responded very late. but i click it a few times nothing happened. but when i installed a gstyle in a normal distro of ubuntu, i can launch it normally.. does it mean that im lacking some software or plug ins in order for it to work???
hope you could help me.. i've been searching for 5 days, but nothing came up. hoping for your reply...

i first remove the gstyle that is installed. and then i try the codes you give, this is what the terminal says.

i cant find the gstyle in the system-preferences..
did i installed it correctly??

This looks like an interesting piece of software, I am especially interested in the "cubemodel" this may be an easy way to modify compiz

but after it is being installed, i open it in system-preference, but still nothing happened.. it doesn't launch everytime i click it. i forget to mention that i have partially upgraded my ultimate edition 2.9. does that make the gstyle unlaunchable?? please help me.. i really want to use the gstyle in me new ultimate edition 2.9.

does anyone from the team use this gstyle in the Ultimate edition 2.9? does it launch normally?

try updating all the packages but do not i repeat do not upgrade to Ubuntu 11.04 it will get rid of all the Ultimate Edition 2.9 goodness
also try running it via the terminal.
applications > accessories > terminal
i wish i knew the command to run it using the terminal you can try "gstyle"

ditto, doesn't work in 2.6.2 either... I suspect the changes under the hood that Thee made might doom us here.

so gstyle doesn't really work in Ultimate edition 2.9... how sad.. i wish there will be some ways to make it work...

UPDATE: I thought it might need a system restart so I gave it one. after my screenlets loaded I double clicked it to start it, the busy globe rotated for a few seconds and quit. My system monitor which indicates what program is running and how many cycles it is using doesn't show it as a running program. My Conclusion is that Ultimate Edition simply doesn't like gstyle.
