Display Problem...

Postby htb2050 » Sat Aug 06, 2011 4:32 am

hi. I recently found ultimate edition while searching for a complete linux distro. I have used windows and I don't know much about linux but i am a quick learner. I downloaded it and burned to a usb drive. The md5 sum matches so files are okay.

When I boot it then the display is distorted and text is unreadable. I have an ati 4330 mobility radeon graphics card on dell inspiron 1545. can any body help me solve this problem. I want to use this distro,

i used Linux live USB creator and unetbootin. both gave the same problem. I used unetbootin to create one on the hard disk but it also had the same problem. I tried several times but had the same problem.
the graphics start to distort at the loading screen where there is a logo and a loading bar.

Now, I am again downloading the file from sourceforgue to see whether it works. The previous build was from torrent which I got from linuxtracker.com but the md5 sum of the torrent file matches that of the file on sourceforge so I think the file is the same.
