Updating problems?

Postby garagestmarien » Wed Jul 27, 2011 7:35 pm

Hi,
I'm new to UE2.9, but think it's the best OS I ever seen and used.
I have noticed a couple of times when I have updated different things, the following:
(This one is for an update I did for Openshot 1.3.1)

Unpacking openshot-doc (from .../openshot-doc_1.3.1-maverick1_all.deb) ...
Processing triggers for man-db ...
Processing triggers for shared-mime-info ...
Unknown media type in type 'virtual/bluedevil-input'

Unknown media type in type 'virtual/bluedevil-audio'

Unknown media type in type 'virtual/bluedevil-sendfile'

Unknown media type in type 'all/all'

Unknown media type in type 'all/allfiles'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/mms'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/mmst'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/mmsu'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/pnm'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/rtspt'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/rtspu'

Unknown media type in type 'fonts/package'

Unknown media type in type 'interface/x-winamp-skin'

However, nothing on my system seems to have been effected in anyway and it all runs fine as far as I can see.
So I am just wondering if I have a problem, am missing something or if this is normal.
(I am quite new to Linux in general and am slowly learning as I go along - not to mention a few re-installs  )

Even for this rig, performance is good and all 3d works nice.

First Welcome . Second I am a new *nix user myself so i know the pains of learning a new os. The errors do not effect the system in anyway that i know, I have them myself and so far no issues stemming from them. I think its leftovers from something Thee was trying out and then removed that might have not purged correctly. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable can give you the technical and/or correct me if i am wrong .

yes as meister said it shouldn't be a problem if everything is working, i think i read about it recently and its an actual bug, showing the errors but it installs correctly :)
