Rest assure that nothing you said was rude or offending. I'm so sorry you misunderstood what I was trying to say.
I was addressing me bringing up my desk top sound problems...which had nothing to do with the issue at hand and me asking if clementine was the default player in vbox...dumb question really...

It is and will be a default player for a few future distro's including my own.

Decent player for sure. Should help your sound problem.

BUT there is one other side to note. Linux has always had a habit of setting a few gains to high.

PCM is the one that always gets me. Installing the gnome alsa mixer will help ya adjust the PCM gain.

I install gnome alsa mixer...Clementine is a nice player and works fine...I will install it on the laptop if I every figure out these hard drives...even though I have two 60gb hard drives...is there a way to reset as one 120gb hard drive before we start the vbox
set up ???

yep, you will need to rebuild the raid.

Guessing at startup there is a raid setup screen. You will need to do it there.

If it isn't showing, you will need to google how to make it show.

then is this step

1. install Ultimate Edition

2. update Ultimate Edition and finalize etc.

3. install vbox (remember expansion pack)

4. setup and install windows to vbox

I have Ultimate Edition 2.6.1 installed and all updates have been done...What and/or how is the easiest way to get virtualbox installed and the steps to get it working so I can get windows 7 working
so I can use itunes for my idevices...Thanks

I downloaded vbox and installed it with Gdebi installer...However, It is not in Applications (System Tools)...I have looked
everywhere in Applications and its not to be found...I even re-booted the computer...Now What ??? Thanks

common locations for it are

system tools and accessories.

you can also access it via

alt f2 and type in virtualbox like so.
