OK here is what i am trying to accomplish
i have 6 PCs on my home network and i have 1 legal copy of a game
but i also have a plethora of kids playing on any PC at any given time
ok some times it is the 6 year old on 1 PC wanting to play some dora explorer stuff and some times it is the 45 year old kid playing Total war.
what i want to accomplish is storing the games on 1 host PC and be able to boot the game from that lets call it a server. this way i stop having the kids trash my CDs cause all games anymore want u to have a CD in the drive to start

Hello DaringSoule.

well the solution to your Question will be with Samba share.
you have to host the Games on this machine that you want to be the server host,
Then you will have to share the files and insert the machine that can make use on the files.
then you have to add the share to those machines from your machine.
If there is MS on the net - then you will have to add the permission to the MS machine from Linux
Then from the MS to Linux.
BTW- you can share the CD Drive on your network to the kids with Samba.
