Sorry, but going back a few posts...
1. AMSN has webcam support
2. Pidgin has webcam support now - but only very newish (must be 9.10/U.E 2.5 or later)
3. Have you setup Firefox to remember passwords? (Edit > Preferences then Security icon on top).

Cheers.

1 Thanks, I'll see if I can talk my gf into getting on MSN or skype seeing as skype has webcam support, on windows anyway
2. I'm going to stick to 2.3 for now so I guess I won't be able to use pidgin for webcam, I can still use it to send files, right?
3.The problem was caused by the fact that my browser was clearing the cookies when it closed and it was remembering the passwords, just not automatically logging me in.

I still have some interface problems. I set my color scheme in the appearance so that there would be no conflicts, but skype tooltips and the text fields in wordpress are still white on white.

What do?

Not too sure about word press but I "think" Skype foreground colour can be changed so that the text colour contrast better or simple change your font colour or ask whomever your talking to change theres!!

As for the wordpress issue, you maybe of to fool around some more with the theme colour schemes so more.

the text color for the chats is fine. it's only the tool tips that are off. I still don't know what's causing the wordpress problem though. And the problem is only when I'm posting, I can still read the blogs but when I go to post it shows up as white on white.

Okies - My understanding is that Firefox does not use your Gnome colour scheme. Skype may be the same. With Firefox, click on Edit then Preferences. Click on 'Content' Tab button then click on 'Colors' button. In this area, change your colours or allow Firefox to accept colour information from the website being viewed. See if that makes a difference.

Cheers.

I just did an update and it uninstalled Pidgin. I tried using Add/Remove to get it back, but it tells me to use Synaptics, but I can't get it to install again using Synaptics either.

Also, I just noticed that the update also uninstalled Transmission and won't let me reinstall that either. What kind of update takes out two of my most used programs?
