i think i broke amarok in UE2.4

So amarok wasnt reading my music files after i did a clean install from 2.3 to 2.4. I made a complete backup of my /home so i just restored the entire thing and all was well until i tried playing music in amarok and after a little while it started saying about how my files were not playable. I installed the w32codecs and readded media to amarok but it still didnt work so i removed amarok 1.4 which i think TheMahn customized himself and now i can install the original amarok nor the one i removed. amarok 1.4 is not in the synaptic but the original amarok is except i can install that one either. So now i have no way of playing music thru amarok and i need it back. Any ideas?

spawning from my original issue above i know have one broken package that i CANNOT fix and i can no longer install anything nor do updates. and i get this error whenever i try updates:

You can use a tool that is integrated in the OS call Ulatamtix to do the installation of Amarok for you. You find Ultamatix in Application -->System Tools--> Ultmatix!!
