There is also "ppa Manager" a little program that does all work for you :
Code: Select all
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/ppa-manager

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install ppa-manager

with it you do a simple search or a deep search and will also list the packages for your specific distro. Oh S*** I posted something.
