Welcome to the best OS! Ultimate 3.5 has the best software that really works. Does not pretend! Does the trick. Now am not sure how much you know about Ultimate? I really recommend if you are fairly new to Linux to download the ISO, burn to disk and let it boot to live mode. If you need help on that will gladly guide you through it! There you can browse the different functions and see if it is to your liking. Is a great thing to try before you go all the way, even though am positive Ultimate will fulfill your needs! Now if you decide you would like to give it a go and need advice for things, there are many of us to assist and the best OS manual I have ever seen on any system I have ever used!

If your current Ubuntu is all set as you like it and might want to recreate it, in case you decide you want to return to it, there is Ubuntu Builder. I have a little knowledge on it and can hopefully assist you through to make a recreation so you would be able to reload close to the point you are leaving!!! Hope this helps as enjoy helping others and is awesome to lead someone to something so great! Best wishes on whatever you decide :D
