Welcome aboard skyviannes, here are a couple places you can try:
Our Quick Links section in General Discussion has a few links in it for Fiesty based distros. (not sure if it still works in Gusty based, but worth a shot)
Some software that LeadFingers recommends HERE (I haven't tried it personally, but he swears by it) I can't remember where I posted the info on getting my mouse buttons to work, however- I can tell you that you will need a combination of things to get your forward and backbuttons to work with nautilus and firefox. You can use:
Code: Select all
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
and set your mouse settings to "usb - explorer mouse" and it will get your forward and back buttons working with firefox. However, if you do this, be aware that you could screw up your video settings if your not careful. Try to leave all the defualt settings alone in there and maybe you'll make it outta there without having to re-install your video drivers ;)
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.5GHz 45nm/Gigabyte EP35C-DS3R M.B. w/ddr3 1333

Sad to say our repos are down due to hosting problems. Keep an eye on the news section as there will be an announcement when they're back up.
Till then take repoubuntusoftware.info off the repo list, or just wait a few days.
Shouldn't be down long.

Thanks for the help, I'll be checking out the news section.

Now with another issue/s...my ubuntu 1.7 has randomly logged out last night while a friend who was here at my home was checking out his e-mail...it's weird but it happened with 1.6 3 times before so I guess it's a bug that's still there, what could it be?

Another thing would be the flash, I tried installing flash from the website like it should be but it didn't work, then I also tried installing from the repos but since I can't download anything off of the repos due to them being down temporarily I don't know what to do...

Where's the edit button? anyway, I fixed my problem for flash...somehow the repos started working like normal for me and it seemed I also didn't have the latest version of Java installed so I did and installed flash and all that and everything is perfect now...although I still would like to know what the problem with the random logout might be...?
