Can you guys tell me how to setup desktop cube in 13.04? I just can't get it to "Expand" so I can see the entire cube. Like this:

KDE Desktop Cube

I have ccsm and the extra plugins installed. I can rotate the cube, and unfold the cube. Just not what I wanted.

* IMPORTANT NOTE: if you find that the GNOME 3 repos are in your repos list when installing 13.04 REMOVE THEM. THEY WILL BREAK YOUR SYSTEM.

I'm not sure what your question is. To zoom out and in in ccsm is in ccsm-->desktop-->rotate cube-->zoom.

The last time I checked unity in 13.04 .. We couldn't intelli hide the left panel. And even the key bindings are scuking..
That's why switched to xfce.

Did not have that issue. When you say switch, do you mean you installed xfce on an upgraded (12.04.1,12.04.2,12.10..etc..)or Ubuntu development iso, or was it Xubuntu 13.04 development iso. I'm glad you replied, I am going to move this as soon as I figure out...where.

Of course, also was it on an Ultimate Edition. Those certainly count here!

I tried development iso for Ubuntu .
Since 12.10 I am using xubuntu.
Can't use ultimate edition because it is still based on kernel 3.2.
And I have a new laptop where I need 3.4 and above to switch off my gpu
I like keyboard bindings more, than moving the moving the mouse on the
Whole screen. I don't think I'll try unity again till 14.04. Till then go XFCE.

You can install a new kernel...liquorix/-ck/generic etc...
The how-to sections explain them well...the repos already have the latest kernels.
BTW, i have a 7670M with kernel-3.2 and i can switch graphics..
just pass command on terminal (using prop drivers):
Code: Select all
sudo aticonfig --initial

reboot.. :)

CCSM - Rotate Cube - General Tab - Zoom.

:D

Edit: As per Xanayoshi's post.
