To explain, I recently tried MicroLinux. Couldn't quite get it to boot right, (probably my fault), but it had the visual excitement that Ultimate Edition had back in the day. It seemed more Ultimate than Ultimate, if that makes sense.
I know firsthand how awesome an OS that Ultimate Edition is, I've been onboard since 2.6. It's just with it falling so low in the DW rankings, perhaps a "grab 'em by the gut" visual experience may draw users back to us. Ask Blackwolf or even Thee, when I was OnoSendai I was one of the staunchest supporters here, (just with a short temper).
My wish for Ultimate Edition? To rise back up in the rankings to the top 10 and I feel that for it to happen, Brahim may be right. The guy had some smokin' themes and walls there.
Ultimate needs to be ULTIMATE again, not resting on it's laurels. In my opinion only, it needs a cosmetic redo. You could a lot worse than the example of MicroLinux.

Is that 2.8? To be fair, I believe all the past images are in wallpaper and backgrounds on this 3.4 lite release, and it was that particular image that brought me to Ultimate Edition. The theme set I usually use with it is 3.1 and it looks like he may have too. I could be wrong, but to run the 3.7 kernel usually involves an upgrade for 2.8(did for me, 2.8 and 2.8 lite), and 2.8 lite is the only one I had survive the whole ordeal, not to mention this is a looooooooooong process.
