type --- gedit /home/<your account name>/.conkyrc
it will open up
search for color-- #ffff000 --- is the code for yellow------replace it with any color by name--blue,green, light yellow, cyan etc.
press ctrl + s ---save it..............and if conky is active on the desktop it will change color in real time.

gksudo gedit /home/<your account name>/.conkyrc------enter your password and follow the steps from above.
