I use a program called Screenlets.

Check out the install instructions here:

I got the gauges and the sidebar screenlets from http://www.gnome-look.org
Just install the screenlets program and download the extra screenlets from there and have fun.

Thanks for the reply and input :) Almost have mine done but my walls change..oh and a note to remove screenlets, there maybe a negative way at least the way the screenlets site says on there how to..see this

No, I used Xenofex 2 filter in PI Pro 11, but there is a good tutorial video here for how to produce lightning effects in Gimp here.. http://video-tutorials-kovach.blogspot. ... tning.html still using $$$software, sometimes. ;)
