My jaunty alpha 6 came and passed. VMware Player would not install so hopefully they will get it fixed or no upgrade for me(at least kernel wise).

Really?Now I'm thinking to try it too,maybe it is more stable and faster than ibex based off. :?:

That's not vmplayer, pal. You have to go to there site and use the bundle. It probably has to do with the kernel headers in jaunty and nothing to do with anything else. It installed fine but would not execute. I couldn't be bothered to investigate any further. I'll wait for a fix since I have a working one with 2.1. VMware themselves will probably have to fix it so it might be a long wait.

I will get to the bottom of it by the time Jaunty goes official. A lot of companies use VMware and they will cry bloody murder and make Ubuntu and VMware fix it or they will be switching operating systems to Redhat from Ubuntu. I didn't find a fix yet. I guess until Jaunty is official next month nothing will be done about it. By the way, how do you like VMware Player?
