This topic will include recommendations of different software, new and old. Future Ultimate Edition releases will feature the latest from Gnome/KDE etc. With wayland and mir replacing the X server, the linux desktop will be handled fully at a more discrete albeit simple level. All this while even the kernel issues were server related problems. The Desktop had taken a complete backseat. Newer kernels are desktop ready for 'Users' and not only for sys-admins and programmers. All graphics related issues should dissappear. All compositing will be native to the Desktop Environment.
Please leave your suggestions for the software you want in future Ultimate Edition, apart from the ones already available. There are 2 major versions of Ultimate Edition at this point of time: The full Ultimate Edition Operating System with all the imaginable software available for users with bulkier hardware. And the other a lite version for netbooks, laptops and even for a full fledged desktop. Please be brief in your description used if you must provide some(Please DO).

So YOU_USER_NAME, what would you like in Ultimate Edition?

You know I am going to still have to say to take Kazam over recordmydesktop! I love how easy Kazam is to use. Is a drag when you have to go through 2 steps to have some video available to use on Windows. With Kazam is one shot, the avi plays on anything. Recordmydesktop is great for the strict Ubuntu only users, but some of us that are forced to use other OS's need something that will comply easier. I can not remember if Inkscape was on the list as has been some time, but I would also say that for us that are artistically inclined. I figure since Blender was there already, nice to have other stuff related, like Inkscape. Of course none of us Video Enthusiasts should ever be without FF Multi-Converter, you guys sold me on that one, I absolutely love that program! I know there is a little reservation on Bleachbit, but with a little instruction or know how, I do not see it as a harmful utility at all. Seeing as ubuntu tweak has fell to the wayside, Bleachbit might just be an adequate replacement for those that want to kill a few command lines off. What I mean in that is type less! Cheese for webcam videos is decent, but if you are running a laptop for a bit, a better alternative is camorama! I found that out the hard way on my laptop. If you try to use Cheese after about 4 hours of continuous laptop use it fails. Camorama seems to bypass that and continue working! I just hope this helps and will still say that TheeMahn and all you people here have the very best solutions! Is always an honor to be part of a forum/OS that cares about its people! There is no way you will ever loose my support and loyalty!!!
