I've come across two things I'd like to see added to the next Ultimate release so I thought I'd pass them along.
First one is Gnome Commander. Once you get used to a dual-pane file manager, there's just no going back, and Gnome Commander is the friendliest of the lot in my opinion.
Second is a dandy little app called Gimme. Gimme is a little hard to explain but it's kind of half Panel Applet, half application Dock (akin to Avant or Kibba Dock). It was the perfect solution for me since I really didn't care for Kibba (buggy) or AWN.
