You are probably correct Moebius. There is 31 mirrors just at sourceforge, I would have to venture to guess the slowest to be a gigabit I have seen stats of Ultimate Edition flowing out at Gigabytes per second not gigabit.
The server Ultimate Edition sits on used to be (6) 1 gbps lines, now sitting on 5 lines. 1 is 10 gigabit, the other 4 are gigabit. Welcome to the cloud.
If you ever feel sourceforge is too slow / congested, we do host our own O/S. We do not have the bandwidth to support that many users. However, you can always grab any release
here. In Nov 2009 we seen almost 1/2 a petabyte of transfer and shut down 3 times in one month. That is why I have moved traffic there. You can read more about that this Wednesday, on
